The Snow Is Melting in VT & Mud Season Is Here

Well, I've come back to see if I have followers, but no surprise, no one's here but me. Vermont's winters are too darned long and I get anxious to see buds on the trees, which won't happen for a while. It's been warm so the snow is fast disappearing; mud season is upon us and leaving one's shoes at the door is mandatory. I've been awaking early as usual (if I told you at what hour, you'd think me nuts, so I won't say... (except that it's about lunch time in the land of the big K). Usually, I go to email of the night before (I'm in real estate so folks write me when they're home from work), but for the past four weeks or so, I've been reading blogs of those PCVs who are blogging, some since arrival in K, back in November. Part of the fn has been in reliving those first few weeks and months after arrival n India in Noveber 1965. Yes, I'm old enough to be a grandpa; but, since I never properly rew up, I am taking liberty and following along as if I was n my early or mid-20s... and enjoyin the journey. So, back, to mud season. I guess there is one in K, as well, during the rains... the only time someone wrote when matatus slow down or even stay off the road. I uess they know their job is on the line if they skid into a bus of a line of mamas. Mud season hereabouts lasts a couple of weeks; the ruts in places are deep enough to definitely break an axel in, where you feel you're on a guided tour... from rut to inevitable rut. One of your group will know what I'm talking about since she graduted from college here. Anyway, blog away. I'll be following with interest.
